The park was completed in 2017 and forms an extension of the riverside footpath, which stretches from Backen Church to Strömpilsplatsen.
The park is a popular spot for picnics where art, sculptures and passing boats provide scenic and interesting views. You can rest on the benches or quench your thirst at the water fountain just below Hoppets gränd.
It is possible to swim in the river, but not recommended due to the powerful current.
In winter the river outlet at Djupbäcken becomes a meeting point for ducks and dippers.
Then it’s more relaxing to do as in the picture (right). Maybe you’ll catch a perch or a trout!
