Umeå East Station

Umeå East Station (Östra) is not just the new, modern and beautiful train station. The name also encompasses the hospital and university campuses , which have an abundance of art, both indoors and out. The vignette above shows part of Astrid Sylwan’s ceramic piece Rumble and Roam, for which she won the 2011 Stora Kakelpriset (Large Tile Award).
